A Club for Boys
WHO: Boys affected by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (with or without hyperactivity)
WHAT: Clubs where boys with ADHD play, learn and grow together -- as they discover strength in numbers and the power of acceptance.
WHERE: Some clubs meet at member's homes, meet at schools, religious institutions, libraries...
WHEN: At least once a month, sometimes more often
WHY: Because when boys meet other boys affected by ADHD, the recognition that they aren't alone and that others share their challenges and energy is, often, life-changing. Clubs create a space where boys are empowered by their shared experiences and enlightened by shared strategies. Go Guys events provide volunteer experience while showcasing the courage and competence of our boys-thereby decreasing the stigma associated with ADHD.
HOW: It's easy! Click here to go to the Start Your Club page and complete an application and registration. Once accepted, you'll receive 6 hours of live webinar training with our Founder, Natalie Knochenhauer, and a Go Guys Club Kit that contains everything you need to start your very own club. The webinar trainings cover everything from the science of ADHD to combating stigma and will leave you feeling empowered and supported. And remember, Natalie is a single-mom with ADHD raising four kids with ADHD, so if she can do it so can you. The clubs are not complicated and instead will help you find a community and support for you and your child. Join us!
